I have two children who both attend St. John the Apostle located in
Oregon City. We live in West Linn but it only takes 7 min to get to
the school. Our family has made 6 moves in eight years and this is
one of our favorite school. Both the education and staff are amazing.
Thanks,
Julia - mother of 2 (5,7)

~We have two children at Cedarwood Waldorf School in SW Portland, and we couldn't
be happier! We love the holistic approach of Waldorf education, with its emphasis on
teaching the whole child: head, heart, and hands. Starting in first grade, students
learn both Spanish and Japanese. By fifth grade, a typical Waldorf child can play
several different musical instruments in an orchestra setting. In addition to
reading, writing, math, and science, Waldorf kids practice fine art, choir,
knitting, woodworking, and folk dance. They learn how to communicate and increase
emotional intelligence. Waldorf graduates are often highly valued by universities.
Cedarwood is truly a unique, welcoming community of deeply caring teachers and
devoted parents.

~We love our small school, it has really come to feel like our extended family. The
teachers and administration really care about our kids and academically, it's top
notch. We don't have all the bells and whistles that many more expensive schools
have, but we have what we need. There is a lot of room for parent involvement and
our active PTO is growing and coming up with many new and exciting ways for students
and parents to become more involved. I have really been pleased with the
educational experience our 2 children have received up to this point.
